Collectible Disney Pin Series: New Orleans Square Part Three

Part three of the New Orleans pin set series focuses on some lesser know, and rarely (if ever?) seen sign and marquee images in the Big Easy of the West.

This pin supposedly pays homage to some original advertisements for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean ride back in Disneyland’s beginning days. Searching high and low though the history of this attraction I have been unable to produce an image of this actual poster but would like to imagine that it created quite the stir with guests visiting New Orleans Square way back when.

The Blue Bayou is simply a must-experience within the confines of New Orleans Square.  Reservations for dinner at this fantastic restaurant can run several months out, but normally lunchtime drop-ins are available.  The Blue Bayou sits across the stream from the opening scene within the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.  Enjoy the ambiance of a Faux New Orleans cafe setting, while dining on succulent dishes themed with a southern flare.  My absolute favorite is the prime rib.

Because you are smack-dab in the middle of the ride, it is noticeably dark in the restaurant, so make sure nobody steals the eats from under your nose as you watch the boats float lazily by.  This restaurant is a must-see!
